Hi friends! Our IG friend, Tiffany @tiffytaffyhome did a really fun & thoughtful DIY using our white arrows. She made a fantastic wedding gift. I've taken her write up as-is and included it (along with photos) below. From Tiffany:
"Have you ever met someone and just instantly clicked? Back when I was home in New York I worked for a company that had me traveling from location to location...to location. That makes it a bit hard to have a connection with your coworkers. Then fate planted me in one of our locations temporarily. I met this insanely fun woman that was in the process of planning her insanely fun wedding. We instantly bonded.
Fast forward to two years later. When I got these beautiful arrows from Outshine my original plan was to use them as decor for my bedroom. I just couldn’t decide what to do. I knew that I wanted to put pictures on them, but I wasn’t sure of exactly which photos to use. Then it hit me. I decided to make them into a Valentine’s Day gift for Lisa & her husband.
So off to Amazon I went to order some Mod Podge. I’d never worked with it before but I had been wanting to for a long time.
I found a few of my favorite photos from the wedding and printed them out on a medium stock paper. I also printed out the bride & groom’s names and their wedding date. Yes, they got married on Star Wars Day. How cool is that?!
Once everything was printed I ripped the printouts to a size that would fit the arrows. I didn’t use scissors because I wanted more of an unfinished look. I then applied the printouts with Mod Podge. A thin layer to adhere everything, then two thin layers to seal it all. As it was drying I used a piece of cardboard to smooth out bubbles.
That’s it. Nice and simple. And fast! They took less than an hour to make. I had planned on painting the arrows red but I decided against that. The finish on the wood was too beautiful to alter. Plus this way they’ll go with any decor colors."
